A graduate of Smith College in Studio Art with concentration in printmaking and drawing, Linda pursued further study in graphic design, typography and book arts at both New England School of Art and Design and Northeastern University. This interest led to in-depth study and apprenticeships in the art of typography, book design, and book binding.
Linda worked, studied, and exhibited prints and drawings in Boston during the 1970s. Following a 20 year interruption in art making, she returned to it in 2000, focusing on pastel painting and monotype printing, and now oils.
Linda lives and works in her home studio in Bangor, Maine, making frequent painting trips to her favorite landscape, the Maine coast, where she lived for 13 years.
